Yesterday, we brought to you that Neha Mehta, who essayed the character of Anjali Taarak Mehta in TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashman has finally bid an adieu to the show. And now, we bring to you another development from the show.
Rumors are rife that actor Gurucharan Singh, who was playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi, has also quit the show and makers have approached Balwinder Sing Suri to replace him. A source from the set reveals us, "Balwinder has already begun shooting on the sets from this week. The makers waited for Gurucharan Singh to come back and join the show but considering his father's health, the actor has decided to take a break from the show and be with him. Hence, they got Balwinder on board and started shooting with him for the future episodes." Balwinder, who has been part of films like Loafer, Saajan Chale Sasural and Dhamaal, is popular for his character of Shah Rukh Khan's friend in Dil To Pagal Hai. We tried contacting Balwinder Singh Suri to take his reaction on joining the popular series but he remained unavailable for comment.
Coming back to Gurucharan Singh, this is not the first time he has quit the show. He was successfully part of the show from 2008 to 2013. But he apparently quit the show in 2013 due to creative differences with the producer. A year later he was once again brought back.
